At our Morning Coffee Club May Meetup, we had the privilege of welcoming Livy Von Goh, a distinguished expert in sleep and dreams. Livy's workshop masterfully explored the delicate art of balancing caffeine intake with restful sleep. She crafted an immersive experience for coffee-fueled hustlers, guiding us towards a harmonious coffee ritual that fosters sustained energy and a balanced life.

Curious about Livy? We've gathered some thoughtful questions to help you discover more about her. Dive in and enjoy this brief interview — preferably with a cup of coffee!

Could you share a short introduction about yourself?

I'm an obsessed guide to the world of sleep, dreams, and peak performance. I started nearly two decades ago and have sought knowledge from different cultures, scientific research, and spiritual teachings.

Day to day, I run my own creative agency focused on empowering sustainability-driven brands. I am forever a student of expanding my own consciousness.

What’s your morning routine like?

I take 10 minutes in an alpha wave state to recall my dreams, and then I stretch my body to increase blood circulation to all parts while doing breathwork. I brush my teeth and splash my face.

After that, I down a glass of water, sometimes with minerals and fruit vinegar. I bathe in sunshine and meditate when I feel called. Then I finally have a cup of coffee to kickstart the day

What’s your go-to coffee these days?

I prefer Brazilian or Colombian beans with nutty, caramel chocolate notes, ideally brewed in a moka pot with a splash of nut milk. If I'm out, I opt for a flat white. I enjoy the ritual and design involved in brewing with a moka pot.

What are some things people don’t know about you?

I speak multiple languages — English, Mandarin, Indonesian, Italian, German, and French. Also, I am a marriage officiant. Perhaps one day, I'll find a way to combine these two passions.
